Reds Match Day Program

For the 2019 Super Rugby season, I was the lead designer and project manager for the Queensland Reds Match Day Program. Averaging 36 pages, the magazine featured a mix of articles, team lists, statistics and advertisements from sponsors.
In addition to designing the program, I coordinated with stakeholders on content requirements and deadlines.
One of my favourite programs from this project was for the Queensland Reds' annual Heritage Round match against the NSW Waratahs. An interstate rivalry since 1882, the match marked the 40th anniversary of Queensland's 48-10 victory against New South Wales. To commemorate the occasion, I had the opportunity to transform the program using design elements inspired by print media from the era. Splashes of colour was reserved for a few pages including the cover and team lists.
For a Saturday night match, my schedule for the Match Day Program was the following:
• Issue pagination to stakeholders by Friday week prior
• Receive content by 3pm, Tuesday
• Produce draft by 5pm, Wednesday
• Receive all corrections by 10am, Thursday
• Deliver to print supplier by 12pm, Thursday
• Approve print proof from supplier by 4pm, Thursday
• Receive content by 3pm, Tuesday
