Phoenix Soar
South East Melbourne Phoenix
2021 - 2022
For the 2022 school year, the South East Melbourne Phoenix launched Phoenix Soar, a four-week educational program for Year 6 students that reached 20 schools and 2000 students during Terms 1 and 2.
Combining athlete storytelling, group discussion, classroom activities and game-based learning on the basketball court, the program provides an engaging experience for all students.
As the graphic designer, I was responsible for designing the workbook given to each student. Apart from the caricatures of the Phoenix players that were commissioned by an external artist, I collaborated with the Community department to develop a clear and consistent layout which would be suitable for primary school students to drive engagement.
