A major goal of the membership packaging was for the member to feel like they had just joined a community. The Phoenix Family is the lifeblood of the organisation and without members and fans, the club wouldn’t exist. Quotes from players and pictures of members having fun at the game played an essential part in conveying the message that the Phoenix is a community club.

Various member cards were designed for each membership type which featured a different player. This was to encourage members to become fans of different players on the team rather than hero one or two particular players.

While basketball is a summer sport, team scarfs are a massive part of the sporting culture in Melbourne. The scarfs that were produced were quite light so they could still be worn while cheering from the stands. This also helped create an additional element of green within the stadium, helping to cement the energy of a Phoenix home venue. A patch was also included on one side of the scarf that showcased the number of consecutive years that they had been a member of the club.
