During my tenure at News Perform, I was tasked to redesign the logotype for the Greyhound Recorder. Originally a form guide and editorial newspaper developed in the 1930s, the Recorder was acquired by News Perform in 2019 and transformed into a digital presence.
The brief was to address the following issues with the current logo:
• The company did not have access to the source files or a vector version of the original logo design
• The logo files being used by the company were a low resolution and not suitable for marketing materials.
One of the main requirements for the redesign was to keep the logotype in a similar horizontal format as the original design, but to create something that would be viewable at smaller sizes.
